2022 Skincare Trends and Predictions

Skincare Trends and Predictions For 2022

2022 Skincare Trends and Predictions

2022 is set to be a big year for skincare as we start investing more time than ever in feeling and looking our best. I’ve put together some of my 2022 skincare trends and predictions for what I’m expecting to see throughout the year.

As you all know, I’m a massive advocate for skincare products and treatments that fit your skin type and individual needs. It’s extremely easy to get caught up in all the hype of the latest trends and hacks so please, go with caution into 2022. If you’re ever in doubt as to whether something is suitable for you, please do get in touch with me and we can arrange a skin consultation.

Ok, let’s begin with my 2022 skincare trends and predictions…

Collagen Induction Therapy

Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT) is also known as micro needling, dermarolling or skin needling and is becoming ever more popular. At the clinic, we use a range of methods to stimulate the production of collagen. Whether that be using the skin pen for needling, scar tissue, refining open pores or fine lines or using my brand new 3D Dermaforce machine. This new machine harnesses the power of radiofrequency and micro needling for skin laxity, reduced pore size, reduced fine lines, tightened skin and inducing collagen.

Sustainable Products

The skincare industry is always improving on being greener and more sustainable which is why we can expect to continue to see this movement for many years to come. For example, brands such as Medik8 are committed to becoming ‘the world’s most sustainable professional-led skincare brand’.

Medik8 have set standards such as achieving zero waste by 2023, working to ban testing on animals, actively reducing and offsetting emissions and all of the products made by the award-winning brand are 100% vegan. I’m proud to be supporting such a sustainable and ethical brand here at Elizabeth M. Simply get in touch if you’d like to discuss the products I have available in the clinic to purchase.

Bespoke Skincare Journeys

Great skin is a journey. It isn’t necessarily a one-time overnight fix. That’s why bespoke skincare journeys will be more popular than ever. You may have already seen packages to include four, six, or possibly more treatments. In 2022, this way of taking care of your skin will be the transformation you have dreamt of.

You can expect to see long-lasting results and reveal your absolute best skin. My knowledge gives me the ability to read and diagnose yourskin needs by creating a program that combines the overall goals – it isn’t a one facial fix procedure. This is a combination of my ability to discern whether the face needs some lifting, if there is lax skin or if it needs toning. You can get started with one of my powerful bespoke skincare journey packages with a consultation here.

So there we have three of my 2022 skincare trends and predictions. I’m by no means a psychic and I certainly can’t predict the future. However, given what I’ve seen from skin experts and others in the industry this year, these trends and predictions are what I think we can expect.

Throughout the month of January, I have a very special gift for you all. I’m offering a 20% discount on skin consultations. A 60-minute armchair consultation allows me to fully understand your skin concerns. It might be acne, rosacea, a sagging jawline, fine lines and wrinkles or a general loss of glow.

During your consultation, I will conduct a full skin analysis with skincare history. We’ll cover everything from lifestyle and diet to family commitments and hereditary factors, before deciding on a course of action. Whether it’s a blend of essential oils, an inner-facial massage or light therapy and ultrasound – or both.
