THE APPROACH
Understanding
the treatment.
IPL stands for Intense Pulsed Light. It uses pulses of broad-spectrum light and is considered by Elizabeth for selected concerns involving sun-related pigmentation, visible redness and thread veins. Assessment is important because different skin concerns do not necessarily call for the same approach.
WHAT WE CAN DISCUSS
Sun-related pigmentation, visible redness and thread veins.
What to expect.
Elizabeth discusses your skin history, treatment area and recent sun exposure before planning care. Preparation, eye protection, patch testing where appropriate and aftercare are explained. If several sessions are proposed, their spacing allows for review of your response.
Suitability and the details of your proposed treatment are discussed before you proceed. Outcomes and recovery vary; your own plan is based on individual assessment.
Your questions, considered.
Is IPL the same as a laser?
IPL uses broad-spectrum light rather than a laser beam. Elizabeth will explain the device and the intended treatment at your consultation.
Can I arrange treatment around a holiday?
Tell Elizabeth about upcoming travel and sun exposure before booking. Preparation and timing need to be considered as part of your individual plan.
